Designer's Edge, first released in
October 1995, is a revolutionary set of integrated pre-authoring tools and wizards, built
by instructional experts, to enhance the analysis, design, and evaluation of effective
technology-based training. Designer's Edge addresses all pre-authoring needs, defining a
new class of software for the rapidly growing multimedia training marketplace and
exploiting the power of 32-bit operating systems. Designer's Edge for Enterprise provides
a central performance support system in which anyone within a corporate enterprise can
design, retrieve and use critical training data, including full courses or portions of
courses designed for delivery on any medium. Using Net Synergy
you can export courses to leading authoring tools for final development or go directly to
HTML/Java templates for online delivery.
Manager's Edge
And rounding out our group of software tools, Manager's Edge, provides a dynamic management shell which allows
students to control the presentation of assigned course activities, and allows training
managers and administrators to manage the delivery of all kinds of training—from
multimedia lessons to stand-up lectures. With its powerful CMI (Computer Managed
Instruction) utilities, Manager's Edge can collect and merge data from various sources to
a single location where it can be analyzed to measure student performance and course
effectiveness. Manager's Edge gives trainers the flexibility to combine diverse training
materials into a unified curriculum and customize the interface to meet corporate
standards. The latest release, Version 2.0, supports Silton-Bookman's Registrar to provide
powerful classroom, CBT, and online capabilities for scheduling, administering, and
managing all forms training from a central location.
